Björn Böttcher is a Principal Architect & Analyst at Atlantic Ventures. He leads the research and consulting activities on the topics of AI, data-based business models and cloud computing.
As the founder of the first German user groups for Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure, Björn Böttcher is one of the pioneers of cloud computing in Germany. As organizer of the first German cloud conferences and lecturer for computer science and computational web in the Parallel Computing Group of the TU Hamburg, he made significant contributions to the development of the cloud community. Björn Böttcher has 15 years of professional experience in the IT industry in the role of software architect and IT strategy consultant.
Most recently, he worked as Practice Lead “AI and Data Analytics” at the analyst firm Crisp Research AG and Cloudflight GmbH. Before joining Atlantic Ventures he worked as CTO at the Hamburg tech startup re/switch GmbH.
Björn Böttcher holds a degree in computer science from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg. As an author, he has published a large number of specialist articles and, as a keynote speaker and expert, actively contributes to the debates on new market trends, standards and technologies.
